Hermode Tuning examples
The examples you can find on this page are always existing in two versions, one is played with equal temperament and one with Hermode Tuning. To get a good impression of what can be achieved by using HMT we recommend to download both versions and compare them attentive.
The examples you can find on this page exists in different versions:
- “hermode” means: All instruments tuned by Hermode Tuning to thirds and fifths according to just intonation.
- “hermode7” means: The sevenths of major seventh chords will be additionlly tuned to so-called natural sevenths.
- “hmtmix” means: Piano tuned to equal temperament, orchestral instruments tuned by Hermode Tuning to compromise positions, simulating the tuning behavior of a real orchestra when playing in common with a fixed tuned keyboard.
- “tempered” means: All instruments tuned to fixed equal temperament.
